He was loved and cherished by many people including: his daughter Dusanka; his granddaughter Maja; his sister Marija; and his wife Milena.

Gojko did not let his many illnesses, including Parkinson's, keep him down and, with his usual discipline and drive, he was proudly able to stay on his feet to the end, when he died on September 30th with his daughter by his side.
