He was predeceased by: his parents, William and Margaret; and his brothers, John and William (Bill). He is survived by: his wife Marilyn (Gentile); his children, John (Julianna), David (Yoko) and Paula (Max); and his grandchildren, Katie, Campbell, Sophia, Liam and Vivian.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Society of St. Vincent de Paul or the Toronto Community Schools of Music would be appreciated by his family.
