She was predeceased by: her husband Harold Harness; her sons, Barry Thomas Harness and Kevin William Harness; her brother Victor Lutman; her sister-in-law Wilda Lutman; and her parents, William Lutman and Rhoda Lutman (Cornish).

She is survived by: her children, Marlene and Bill Charters; her grandchildren, Robert Charters (Ian) and Leanne MacDonald (Mark); and her great grandchildren, Russell MacDonald (Olivia) and Bessie MacDonald (Dustin).
