He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Borden and Marjorie Borden (McAinsh). He is survived by: his children, Brett, Tracy Borden, Jeff Hoffman, Randy, Diane Hoffman, Terry and Sherri Hoffman; his grandchildren, Quinn, Ryan, Hayley, Corey, Cayla, Taylor and Courtney; his great grandchild Mira; and his siblings, Sandra (Rob May), Gail (Zeb Talach), Bob (Carol Johnston) and Robert (Elizabeth "Tootie" Merner).
