It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas Joseph Metcalfe of Falconbridge, Ontario, born in Sudbury, Ontario, who passed away on July 11, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Leona Metcalfe. He is survived by: his children, Lorraine Jarmain (Doug), Louise Apreda (Joe) and Jeff Metcalfe (Milena); his grandchildren, Andrew Jarmain (Allison), Cameron Jarmain (Dana), Alex Apreda (Tristan), Katie Fiore (Vince), Brittany Metcalfe (Justine) and Matthew Metcalfe (Valentina); and his great grandchildren, Carter, Jaxon Apreda, Elianna Fiore and Noah Metcalfe.
A burial will be held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Dwight Union Cemetery (1212 Dwight Beach Rd, Dwight, ON P0A1H0). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Dwight Community Centre (1014 Dwight Beach Rd, Dwight, ON P0A1H0).
