He was predeceased by : his siblings, Myrtle Griffin, Verna Junkin, Woodrow Jones and Max Jones. He is survived by : his spouse Jean Jones; his children, Judy (Todd Jermyn) of Bobcaygeon, Marilyn (Jim Beecroft) of Wasaga Beach, Kathy (John Potter) of Peterborough, Trevor Jones (Janice) of Bobcaygeon and Ron Jones (Jeanette Grant) of Bobcaygeon; his grandchildren, Aaron Jermyn (Angie), Brett Jermyn (Jamie), Craig Jermyn (Jill), Sarah Girard (Ben), Jamie Beecroft (Samantha McMunnigle), Joel Potter (Alison), Amy Halbert (Wade), Lisa McGuckin (Darryl) and Jillian Jones (John Filipe); his great grandchildren, Cade, Luke, Liv, Noah, Isla, Hayes, Rosalyn, Quinn, Sloane, Emily, Kathryn, Brianna, Daniel, Aaron, Jack, Gwendolyn, Audrey, Marley, Owen and Emma; and his siblings, Joyce Campbell, Beulah Campbell and Ted Jones. He is also survived by his numerous nieces and nephews.

The family of Douglas Jones will celebrate his life privately on Friday, January 7th, 2022 in the chapel of Jardine Funeral Home, 8 Princes' St. W. Fenelon Falls. A Celebration of Life will take place in the summer when Covid permits.
