We announce the death of Melvyn Traill Bennet (Fenelon Falls, Ontario), who passed away on October 3, 2026. Melvyn will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Melvyn will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Melvyn’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Wilson; his sons, Jason Bennet (Charlene) and Scott Bennet; his grandchildren, Evan, Emma, Jamie, Noah, Adrian and Kobe; and his sister Lorraine Biggart. He is also survived by extended family and many dear friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the The Saucy Willow (6 Nipissing St, Coboconk, ON K0M2B0).
