He was predeceased by : his brother Glenn Ross Gilson; and his son Edward Jay Gilson. He is survived by : his wife Joan (Stroud); his grandsons, Daniel and Eric; his son Gregory (Valerie); his grandchildren, Michael (Raquel), Courtney (Brad Booker) and Anastasija; his great grandchildren, Ben, Jillian Booker and Grace Gilson; his son Daniel (Judy); and his granddaughter Josephine (Iain Walkley).
