David Steen Obituary

Wilfred "David" Steen, passed away suddenly on July 26, 2026 at the age of 73.

David joins his faithful and beloved wife, Deborah Steen who predeceased him 1988. He will be deeply missed by his children, David Steen (Ashley Mogk) of Elora, ON, Laura Steen of Barrie, ON. He will be affectionately remembered by his grandchildren Lexi and Madi. David is survived by his brothers Craig (Cheryl) Steen, Andrew (Late Donna) Steen and Ross Steen. He will be missed by his many neices and nephews and other extended relatives and friends.

David was a proud member of IBEW Local 804. He was proud to have had the opportunity to tour Canada as a Master Electrician. In July of 2024, David was appointed Grand Steward of the Grand Lodge of Canada and tried to live by the Masonic Principals.

Now he is able to work on his '55 not having to listen to "stupid advice.". Now there will be someone there that actually knows something.

Friends and family are invited to gather on Thursday, August 6, 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home Ltd., 280 St. David St. S. Fergus, ON N1M 2L5, (519) 843-3100. A Masonic Service will follow at 6:00 PM in the chapel. A burial of David's cremated remains will take place on Friday, August 7, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Huxley Cemetery, Erin, ON.
