He was predeceased by: his parents, Jean Hale (Elijah Shortt) and Elmer; his wife Ioan; and his sister Mary. He is survived by: his children, Kathy (Ted Oldfield), Keith (Cris), Kevin (Jack Bond), Karen MacDougall (Colin) and Kelly (Kevin Brown); his grandchildren, Geoffrey, Alyssa, Lucas, Matthew, Ryan, Alexandra, Branna, Brogan, Bronis, Padraig, Madison, Cedar and Levi; and his great grandchildren, Louisa, Huron, Leeroy, Cecilia, Ellie and Jasper.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 8th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Melville United Church (300 St Andrew St W, Fergus, ON N1M2W7). A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 8th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A reception was held on Sunday, February 8th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the same location.
