She was predeceased by: her parents, Norma Pilbeam and Louis Pilbeam of Salem, Ontario.; and her son Kevin Towriss. She is survived by: her husband Gord Towriss; her son Greg Towriss (Alison); her grandchildren, Owen, Nathan, Ava, Rozlyn and Kaelan; and her sister Patsy Saunders. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to Mark Preece House or to the Aboyne Rural Hospice in memory of Gwen.
