James Alexander McMurray Obituary

With sadness, we share the passing of James Alexander McMurray (Fergus, Ontario). James Alexander, born on March 29, 1937, passed away on September 11, 2026. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James Alexander McMurray to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Sandy McMurray and Eva McMurray; and his brother William. He is survived by: his wife Lois Graham; his children, Sandy (Lori), Laura Smylie (Dave), Peter (Zorica), David (Lisa) and Jonathan (Corinna); his sister Laura McCartney (Jim); and his nephews, Robert and John. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home (280 St David St S, Fergus, ON N1M2L5). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Bethel Baptist Church (675 Victoria Terrace, Fergus, ON N1M3E2). A reception will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location.
