She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Grant and Dorothy Grant (Adsett); her husband Rev. David Allan Sr.; and her brother Rev. J. Rea Grant. She is survived by: her children, Rev. David Allan, Elizabeth Allan (Doug Brewer), Andrew Allan (Lisa Chartrand) and Morgan; her grandchildren, Kaleb, Forbes Sang, Parker Allan, Norah and Rachel Allan; her siblings, Donald Grant (Laurelyn) and Eleanor James (late Norman); and her siblings-in-law, Hilda Grant (late Rea Grant), William Allan (Kathy) and Winnifred Kieswetter (Carl).
A funeral service was held on Friday, November 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Melville United Church (300 St Andrew St W, Fergus, ON N1M2W7). A reception was held on Friday, November 21st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
At her request, donations in Marilyn's memory may be made to Doctors Without Borders or to UNICEF.
