It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Marion Joan Foster of Fergus, Ontario, who passed away on January 29, 2026, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Dr. Stuart Foster; and her parents, Marion Grace Fielding and James Howard Fielding. She is survived by: her children, Patricia Foster (Michael Fitzgerald) of Guelph, David Foster (Elaine) of Hardisty, Alberta, Kathryn (Prem Talwar) of Edmonton, Elizabeth (Wilfred Gerner) of Cambridge and Robert (Cathy) of Fergus; her grandchildren, Joseph, Kristy Foster, Adam, Penny Foster, Eric, Kalee Foster, Rajan Talwar, Dr. Kiran Talwar, Tara Talwar, Anjulie Talwar, Eden, Robert Wood, Jordan Gerner, John Foster, Emily and Steven Peters; her great grandchildren, Jack, Grace, David, Grant, Dane, Thomas, Elise, Jessie, Leanna, Madeline, Lucas and Samuel; her brothers, Ward and David; her significant other Verdon Stuart Foster; her daughter Joan; David Fielding (late Marian) of Toronto and Joan Marie Fielding of Toronto. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, February 5th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home (280 St David St S, Fergus, ON N1M2L5). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 7th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Melville United Church (300 St Andrew St W, Fergus, ON N1M2W7). A reception was held on Saturday, February 7th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, February 7th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Belsyde Cemetery (400 Thistle St, Fergus, ON N1M, Canada).

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations will be gratefully accepted to Groves Memorial Community Hospital and Melville United Church.
