Though Martin may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Martin touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his sisters, Aaffeen and Helma; his great grandchild Emmie Pearl; and his parents, Dutch and Peter (Beatrice Bootsman).
He is survived by: his brother Eric.
A private family memorial will be held to honour Martin's life, and the family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Aboyne Hospice Fund in appreciation of the compassionate care provided to Martin in his final days.
