Norman Bergin Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Norman Bergin (Fergus, Ontario), who passed away on April 7, 2021 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his significant other Dorothy (Kraft); his parents, Daniel Bergin and Gertrude Bergin (Dorothy); his brother Russel; and his brother-in-law Eno Kraft (Carl).

He is survived by : his children, Bev Lavigne (Herman), Tim Bergin (Mindy) and Normajean Diefenbaker (Darren); his grandchildren, Ashlee, Daniel (Abby), Bradley, Bethany (Joe), Spencer and Mitchell; his sisters-in-law, Arlene Kraft (Eno), Evelyn Morrissey (Dan) and Carolyn Bergin (Russel); and his pet Miles. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews, friends.

In lieu of flowers (Norma kills them lol), donations may be made to Groves Memorial Hospital.

“We are sad to hear of Norm’s passing, and send sincere condolences to his family. Norm and my father Ray spent many hours passing the time, sharing laughs and local gossip, at Timmies. Norm was a good friend to my father, calling from time to time to check in with him once he moved from Elora into a home in Barrie. My father will miss Norm’s friendship. -Ray Thomas and Lisa Smith”
