He was predeceased by: his parents, Nyal Cook and Lena Cook; his brother Bob; and his sister-in-law Cathy. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Jean Cook (Nee Milmine); his sons, Chris (Nancy), Kevin and Paul (Camilla); his grandchildren, Blake, Shawn (Jen), Drew (Nicole), Darren, Alec, Alicia and Vanessa; his great grandchildren, Colton, Carter and Harlow; his siblings, Tom and Marcy (Bruce); and his sister-in-law Mary.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to Groves Memorial Hospital Foundation or Aboyne Rural Hospice.
