He was predeceased by: his grandson Brandon Norman; his parents, Basil McMeeken and Violet McMeeken; and his siblings, Kathleen Defoe, Donald McMeeken, June Lane, Barbara Weir and Audrey Taylor.
He is survived by: his spouse Shirley; his children, Barbara, Barry (Cassandra Lee) and Kevin (Tracey); and his siblings-in-law, Darla McMeeken, Rodney Farewell and James Taylor. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 6th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 333 (14 Elizabeth St, Flesherton, ON N0C1E0). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 6th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Markdale Recreation Committee, the Alzheimer's Society of Grey-Bruce or The Flesherton Markdale Legion Branch 333.
