He was predeceased by : his wife Marjorie; his parents, John and Mildred; and his brothers, Irvine (Agnes) and Emerson.

He is survived by : his children, James (Susanne Bernard) of Oakville, Janice (April Currie) of Mississauga and Jeff (Katie Pratt) of Burlington; and his grandchildren, Nicholas (Katherine Mandl-Beaton), Spencer, Alison, Tyler, Elizabeth (Evan Whitman), Daniel and Matthew.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to CAMH-Canadian centre for Addiction and Mental Health or Heart and Stroke would be greatly appreciated. “We offer our sincere sympathies to Les' family. We fondly remember and thank God for Les (and Marj). Les served Streetsville United in many ways. He spent countless hours with the audio system, setting up for events and services, making sure the sound was right. Les was a wonderful fellow to talk with, so interested in his family and his community, and in others and their activities. He was so knowledgeable and wise.
