He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. T. R. Waugh and Hope Waugh; his sisters, Rachel and Johanna; and his siblings' children, Peter MacPherson (Margaux), Andrew McPherson (Alison), Sarah Brunetti (Cris) and Rebecca MacPherson (Blake Meyers).

He is survived by: his wife Linda; his sons, Matthew (Rebecca) and Daniel; his grandchildren, Hannah and Spencer; his sibling Thomas Waugh; and his brothers-in-law, Stewart Shouldice (Trish), Dennis Shouldice (Barbara Janzen) and David Shouldice (Nancy).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Annesley United Church.
