He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Gowanlock and Eva Gowanlock; his brother Edwin; and his siblings-in-law, Richard Londry and Judy Campbell.

He is survived by: his wife Wendy; his grandchildren, Summer, Hayden Champagne, Joshua and Mark Gowanlock; his brother Allan (Joan) of Morrisburg; and his sisters-in-law, Linda Acheson (Jack) of Meaford, Sandra (Londry) of Owen Sound and Laura McKillop (Stewart) of Maxwell. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
