He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth McArthur (Mahnke McComb); his granddaughters, Darlene Douglas and Angela Meyer; and his siblings, Keith McArthur, Albert McArthur and Wilda Best (Ken).
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Louise Douglas of Guelph, Janice, Bob Howitt of Fordwich, Marie and Richard Dodd of Wasaga Beach; his grandchildren, Dawn Douglas, Christine, Keith Kitchener, Lisa Sage, Jessica Dodd, Chad Lehman, Jennifer, Mike Pryzmant and Kevin Meyer; his great grandchildren, Riley, Reese, Tyson, Matthew, Melissa, Cole and Kayla; Ruth.
