He was predeceased by: his parents, Everet Armstrong and Ruth Armstrong (Hallman). He is survived by: his wife Sharon Armstrong (Bester); his children, Kevin, Pamela Armstrong of Fordwich, Brad, Janet Armstrong of Waterloo, Mark, Christine Armstrong of Fergus, Angela and David Crispin of Palmerston; his grandchildren, Brandie, Sjors Lavrysen, Vanessa Armstrong, Lindsay De Melo, Tyler Armstrong, Mikayla Vantyghem, Darcy Armstrong, Drew, Hailey, Elyse Armstrong, Sidney, Jocelyn, Madelyn Armstrong, Makayla, Mallory and Nicole Crispin; and his great grandchildren, Beau and Kade Lavrysen. He is also survived by his brother and sisters, nieces and nephews.
