She was predeceased by : her husband Anson Ruttan (Sam); her parents, Robert Montgomery and Mary Montgomery; and her siblings, Treva Jamieson and Keith Montgomery.

She is survived by : her children, Audrey, Garfield Gibson of Listowel, Jack, Helen Ruttan of Fordwich, Janis and Bill Wallace of Bayfield; her grandchildren, Greg Gibson, Shelley Brooks, Ian Gibson, Ryan Ruttan, Jen Trudeau, Andrea, Brian Verhaeghe, Graham Wallace, Jolyanne Landry and Jennifer Wallace; her great grandchildren, Mitchell, MacKenzie Brooks, James Ruttan, Carter and Camden Verhaeghe; her sister Melva Fraser; and her sisters-in-law, Marg Montgomery, Lovina Ruttan and Dorothy Ruttan.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the McBurney Funeral Home Chapel (35 Patrick St W, Wingham, ON N0G2W0). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, donations to One Care Respite or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
