With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Bartholomeus Wieleman (Forest, Ontario), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 27, 2026 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Bartholomeus is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Bartholomeus' spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his wife Anna Wieleman; his parents, Johannes Wieleman and Geertje Wieleman; and his sister Henny Laird. He is survived by: his sister Ria Kell; his daughter Anita Fitchett (Murray); his granddaughters, Brittany Fitchett (Pete) and Erika Slegers (Anthony); and his great grandchildren, Mason and Jeremy.
