He was predeceased by: his parents, Allan Garrett and Irene Garrett; and his brother-in-law Peter Dare. He is survived by: his wife Mary Garrett; his children, Robert, Susan (Dave Bural), Paul (Jan Hollingsworth) and Lorne (Mary Heyblom); his grandchildren, Matthew (Alyssa Washbourne), Brittnee, Cameron (Amy Ravell), Ryan and Evan; his great grandchildren, Nolan, Arthur and Mackenzie; his sister Muriel Dare; and his sisters-in-law, Shirley Brouwer (late George) and Betty Hamilton (late Jim).
Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Dennings Funeral Home (9 James St S, Forest, ON N0N 1J0). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A reception was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Forest Legion, Branch 176.
