He was predeceased by: his sibling Ken Evans; and his parents, John Evans and Annie Evans. He is survived by: his significant other Ruth Primrose; his children, Linda Shea (Russ), Susan Evans-Holdenmeyer, Joanne Aiton (Dave) and David Evans (Anna-Marie); his grandchildren, Michael, Joseph, Katherine, Jessica, Christopher, Chantelle and Peter; his siblings, Ron Evans (late Phyllis), Olive Stewardson (Alvin), Alice Blenkhorn (late Ron) and Edwin Evans (Maureen); and his sister-in-law Raya Evans. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
