He was predeceased by: his parents, James Henry Martell and Isobel O'Donnell; and his brother John "Rocky" (Laurel). He is survived by: his children, James L. (Martha), Joseph (Gloria), Joan (John), Tom (Cathy) and Patrick (Suzanne). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
