He was predeceased by: his son Peter Jeffrey Braaksma; and his former wife Thea Braaksma. He is survived by: his spouse Lany Braaksma; his children, Jacqueline, Rawlings and Heidi Braaksma (Andrew McKinlay); and his grandchild Caylie McKinlay.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 6th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

In memory of John, donations may be made to Myeloma Canada or to a cause that is meaningful to you.
