It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Halpenny (Forest, Ontario), who passed away on September 16, 2021, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his sons-in-law, Thomas William Tobin, Claire Anne Thorup (Peter John Thorup) and John David Scott Halpenny (Yvonne Denise Halpenny); his parents, Ilma Mae and David Milton Halpenny; his sister Mary Halpenny; his parents-in-law, Wilfred Ray and Anna Muriel Martin; and his siblings-in-law, Harold Carlyle Martin and Jocelyn Clare McKiee.
He is survived by : his wife Virginia Rae Halpenny; his daughter Jana Rae Tobin; his grandchildren, Jennifer Zurowski (Maiden Name Tobin), Michael Tobin, Kendra Halpenny, Reid Halpenny, Bryce Halpenny, Marc Thorup, Steven Thorup and Greg Thorup; his great grandchildren, Cole Zurowski, Zachary Zurowski, Mallory Zurowski, Ryan Halpenny and Luke Halpenny; and his close friends, Barbara, Spencer Thornton, Bernice, Art Walroth, Katie and Elton Parker.
