She was predeceased by : her brother Bill Hetner; and her father John Hetner. She is survived by : her husband Brad Cotè; her siblings, Sonya Lang, Joe Hetner and Vivian Szonyi; and her mother Betty. She is also survived by her extended family friends.

Donations are appreciated in Ruth's name to the Canadian Cancer Society.
