Ruth Marie Ellerker Obituary
We announce the death of Ruth Marie Ellerker (Forest, Ontario), who passed away on October 7, 2026. Ruth will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her spouse Gerry Ellerker; her parents, Frank Smith and Beth Smith; her sister Marion; her sister-in-law Bev Smith; and her parents-in-law, Carman and Marie Ellerker.
She is survived by: her children, Kathie (Adam Kristoferson) and Jackie (Shane Reid); her grandchildren, Patrick, Rowan, Emily and Cameron; her siblings, Craig (Marg Smith), Ross (Jo-Ann Smith), Bruce (Shelley Smith) and Barb (Mark Dobroski); and her brother-in-law Larry. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Denning's (9 James St S, Forest, ON N0N1J0). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Forest United Church. A reception will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 2:00 PM at 55 Albert St, Forest, ON N0N1J0.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Forest United Church "or any charity that is near and dear to your heart" would be appreciated by the family, honouring Ruth's own wishes.
