He was predeceased by: his wife Ljuba. He is survived by: his children, Josip (Marica), Mate (Katica), Barka Kralj (Slavo) of Waterloo and Ankica Jarnevic (Stjepan) of Mississauga. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
