He was predeceased by: his brother Terrance Maguire; his brother-in-law Frank McRae; his parents, Walter Ulrich and Rita Ulrich; his brother Terry Maguire; his sister-in-law Margaret Maguire (Sue Wright); and his wife Frances Passmore (Passmore).

He is survived by: his children, Darlene Jarvis (Rod), Darryl Ulrich (Sharyn), Dave Ulrich, Dan Ulrich (Cindy), Doug Ulrich (Dianne), Don Ulrich (Jill) and Debbie VandenBoer (Carl); his sister Jewel McRae; and his grandchildren, Jason, Joshua (Angela), Shannon (Elaine), Nicole (Michael), Laura, Cody, Blair, Rusty (Jodi), Tanner, Julie (Matt) and Shane (Kelsey). He is also survived by many extended family, nieces and nephews.
