He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Roy and Laura Roy (Boudreau); his daughter Debbie Sloan; his granddaughter Cheryl Sloan; and his siblings, Gilbertha "Gill" Michaud, Cecile, Lorraine Roy, Fernand "Lefty", Hector and Norman.

He is survived by: his spouse Bev Roy; his siblings, Ron of Nackawic, Marianne McCooey of Fort Erie, Claudette Minnick (Greg) of Cambridge, Theresa Roy and Nora Mathewson (Larry) of Ridgeway; his son-in-law Joe Sloan; his grandsons, Joey (Brittany) and Brandon Sloan; his great grandchildren, Eoin and Finn Sloan; and his sister-in-law Sim. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

If desired, donations may be made to the Fort Erie SPCA, and would be appreciated by his family.
