He was predeceased by: his wife Alice; his parents, Teresa and Fred; and his brother Fred (Violet). He is survived by: his children, Walter Townsend Jr., Linda Tardiff and Robert Townsend (Brenda); his grandchildren, Natalie Meggen (Tyler), Shawn, Tina and Walter III; his nieces, Kathy, Charlene and Marlene; and his nephew Kenny. He is also survived by his many great grandchildren.
