He is survived by: his spouse Xiu Yu Zhao; his children, Jason Ruan (Julie Ruan), Tony Ruan (Sharon Ruan), Bao Xia Ruan (Wei An Zhong) and En Lu Ruan (Michael Kryger); and his grandchildren, Oscar Ruan, Laurel Ruan, Audrey Ruan, Anthony Ruan and Mei Hong Ruan.
