He was predeceased by: his parents, James MacKintosh and Mary Ann MacKintosh; his siblings, Alistair, Donald, Katherine and Ann; his nephew Paul; and his niece Marianne.
He is survived by: his wife Carole; his sisters, Therese (Gordon), Elaine (Phillip), Isleen, Morag and Joan; his children, Niall, Alistair, Diarmid (Twila), Ewan (Jane), Shona (Robin), Torquil, Aela (Lenard) and Lindsay (Gavin); his grandchildren, Cameron, Siobhan, Duncan, Craig, Julia, Angus, Malcolm, Iona, Donald, Iain, Morven, Aaron, Amber, Diarmid and Katherine; and his son-in-law Gavin Payne. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
