He was predeceased by : his daughter Beth; his sister Jerry Pladsen; his wife Fern; his parents, Sam Moffatt and Edna Moffatt; his siblings, Amelia, Archie (Red), Mamie Caron, Peggy Moffatt, Ida, Lloyd East, William (Bink), Henrietta, Jean Moffatt, Mildred (Mid), Charlie Johnson, Max Stewart, Neil and Verna Moffatt; his sister-in-law Mary Joan Shine; and also, Emil and Martha Shine.

He is survived by : his daughter Nancy (Cris Myers) of Atikokan, ON; his daughter-in-law Paula (Riccardo Verin) of Marathon, ON.; his grandchildren, Andrea Myers-Pfeifer (Richard Pfeifer) of Thunder Bay, ON, Karen Myers (Paul Dziedziejko) of Elmira, ON, Jillian (Kyle Orum) of Hanna, AB, Robert Coulas (Caley Shukalek) of Calgary, AB, Allison (Andrew Allen) of Marathon, ON and Terry Golding (Trisha Brinklow) of Marathon, ON.; and his great grandchildren, Grant, Alana Myers-Pfeifer, Easton, Lively Dziedziejko, Natalie, Jack Orum and Miles Allen. He is also survived by 8 brothers and sisters.
