He was predeceased by: his wife Ellen; his son Gary (Kathy); his siblings, Ross, Dorothy, Doreen, Rita and Margaret; and his parents, David John and Eleanor Mangan.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Ellen (Len), Paul (Heather), Peter (Mary), Richard (Nancy), Lesa Marie, Mary-Louise (John) and Mark (Joy); his grandchildren, Richard, Nikki, Danielle, Salina, David, Luke, Kyle, Connor, Bridgit, Jack, Joshua, Joseph, Catherine, Julia, Laura, Daniel, Jemma and Nicholas; his great grandchildren, James, Easton, Greyson, Declan, Richard, Vincent, Annabella, Liliana, Ava, William, Maya, Nathan, Isaac, Thomas, Abigail and Violet; his sister-in-law Alice Mangan; and his pet Coco. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 8th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM at the Tompkins Funeral Home (63 Garden St, Gananoque, ON K7G2T8). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, November 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Monday, November 9th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the St. Barnaby's Cemetery (5307 ON-15, Seeley's Bay, ON K0H1H0). A reception will be held on Monday, November 9th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations made to Providence Care Hospice (AB Smith Homestead House) or St. Barnaby's Church Cemetery Fund would be appreciated by the family.
