He was predeceased by: his brother Merrill. He is survived by: his wife Karen; his sons, Richard (Erin) and Clinton; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Kassidy and Dean; his sister Joan Lockwood; and his sisters-in-law, Marion Vallentgoed and Kathy Caldwell (Jim). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations made to the Epilepsy Foundation or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
