He was loved and cherished by many people including: his former wife Mary; his wife Anneliese Penz; his parents, Ludwig Gruber and Martha Gruber; his siblings, Erich, Horst and Hannelore; his children, Christina and Brian; his grandchildren, Kristyn (Richards), Jenelle and Jason (Huras); his great grandchildren, Jack and Liam (Pearce); his siblings' children, Tom, Peter, Raymond, Harvey, Tanya, Michael, Mark and Tracy; and his friend Zenko.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Jones Funeral Home (11582 Trafalgar Rd, Georgetown, ON L7G4Y5).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your local food bank, Operation Smile Canada or a charity of your choosing.
