He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack May and Jean May (Chester) of Norval; and his siblings-in-law, John and Bev Feenstra. He is survived by: his wife Valda (Royce); his children, Lesley, Wes, Tom and Garrett; his children-in-law, Karl, Valerie and Kate; his grandchildren, John, Julia, Jessica, Jason, Edwin and Wesley; his sisters, Wendy Robson and Susan Grant; and his in-laws, Bob Robson and Dave Grant. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
