He was predeceased by: his son John McIntyre Jr.; and his in-laws, Lee and Florence Schembri. He is survived by: his wife Ramona Florence McIntyre; his son Richard; his daughter-in-law Cathy; his stepson Jim (Laura); and his grandchildren, Cody McIntyre, Isabella Jennuso, Jack Murphy and B. J. McIntyre.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Glendale Memorial Gardens (1810 Albion Rd, Etobicoke, ON M9W5T1).

In honour of John, memorial donations may be made to the Georgetown Hospital.
