He was predeceased by: his parents, Elwin Coote and Marjorie Coote; and his in-laws, Orvis and Grace Taylor. He is survived by: his wife Charlene; his children, Jordan (Noelly) and Jeremy (Amanda); his siblings, Alana (Jeff), Scott (Robin) and Brett (Allison); and his sisters-in-law, Mildred (Lewis), Valerie (Stephen), Irma (Jean-Pierre), Lucille (Charlie) and Teresa (Bob). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Sick Kids Foundation would be appreciated.
