He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Smith and Hazel Smith; his wife Nancy; his children, Scott Smith and Cynthia Patriquin (James); his stepchildren, Gillian Buckley (Adam) and Michael Urbankiewicz (Angela); his grandchildren, Julia, Emily, Sarina, Carter, William, Nate, Elise and Evie; and his sister Betty Black.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 14th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Royal Canadian Legion Br#120 (127 Mill St, Georgetown, ON L7G2C7).
In lieu of flowers, donations to Cancer Assistance of Halton Hills (CASHH) in Russ's honor would be greatly appreciated.
