He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Healey and Irene Healey; his son Gerald Bowler; and his brother-in-law Stan Armstrong. He is survived by: his wife Eleanor; his stepdaughter Linda Colepaugh (Wayne); his siblings, Joan Armstrong, David (Geraldine) and Malcolm (Shirley); and his grandchildren, Zak Bowler (Gen), Sara McAllen (Chris) and Amy Carlson. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
