He was predeceased by : his brothers, Melvin, Bob, John and Eddie; and his siblings-in-law, Jake and Lynn.

He is survived by : his wife Rose; his children, Adeline (David), Stanley (Nicole), George (Tracy) and Susan (Paul); his siblings, Gordon Swereda and MaryAnn Geertsma; his sisters-in-law, Monica Swereda and Cathy Swereda; his grandchildren, Stephanie, Ashley, Deanna, Katelyn, Shyla, Kiarra, Javanna, Ashton, Caleb, Natashia, Rachelle, Zarek and Lukas; his great grandchildren, Aiden, Colton, Wyatt and Quinn; and his godson Melvin. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
