She was predeceased by: her husband Ross; her great grandchildren, Emmett, Connor, Patrick, Malcolm, Eila, Madilyn, Fynn and Fallon; her son Scott; her granddaughter Hilary; and her siblings, Murray Gilbert (Shirley), Jean Jones (Gerald), Nora Herbert (Percival), Glen Gilbert (Jean), Eldon Gilbert (Mary), Velma Rose (Ken) and Dick Gilbert.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jane Berdan (Dave) and Ann Stalker; her daughter-in-law Lenore Patterson; her grandchildren, John Stalker (Kaitlyn), Matthew Stalker (Elicia), Jessica Stalker (Mario), Krista Simpson (Gary), Emily Featherstone (Jeremy), Megan Gregory (Matt) and Kelly Caughell (Travis); her sister Mary Ellen Mortier (late Bert); and her sisters-in-law, Ruth Gilbert, Elaine Bebensee (late Lloyd) and Doris Patterson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Van Heck Funeral Home (172 Symes St, Glencoe, ON N0L1M0). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial donations may be made to St. John's Presbyterian Church or Four Counties Health Services (Palliative Care).
