We announce the death of Mary Huysmans of Glencoe, Ontario, who passed away on September 2, 2026. Mary will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her brother Ben Veel (Rita). She is survived by: her spouse Gerry; her children, Lisa Kulich (Darin), Richart Huysmans, Michele Nagle (Phil) and Aaron Huysmans (Katja); her grandchildren, Tyson, Marshall Kulich (Mikayla), Skylar, Celeste, Tray Huysmans (Ella), Tia, Broden, Kai Nagle, Caden and Conner Huysmans; and her siblings, Els Vandenberg (late Tom), John Veel (Alice), Gerda Veel (Kees Vandenlinden), Coby Love (Charles), Peter Veel and Rob Veel (Martha).
Visitation was held on Monday, September 7th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Van Heck Funeral Home (172 Symes St, Glencoe, ON N0L1M0). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Charles Garnier (244 Stell St., Glencoe, ON).
Memorial donations may be made to Glencoe District Lions Club or St. Charles Garnier – Catholic Women's League.
